With a talent for inspiring and bringing people together, Sonny was part of several successful Silicon Valley start-ups before founding Greenlight Apparel. After meeting with cotton farmers living on less than $4 a day in India, he became inspired to challenge conventional business practices in the apparel industry.
With the help of fellow MBA students at UC Davis, Sonny developed a business model that empowers underprivileged communities and raises awareness about the struggles these communities face. This business model won the Global Social Venture Business Competition and Greenlight Apparel was born. Sonny has lived in six different countries and continues to work in Technology for Reputation.com. He advises the Greenlight team on strategy and social innovation to help maximize the impact of Greenlight Apparel’s philanthropic initiatives.
